About Sometimes, Dolores
The namesake of this blog is from the 1995 film starring Kathy Bates, Dolores Claiborne. Dolores (Kathy) works as a maid for a wealthy woman in rural Maine, Vera Donavan. From Vera come pithy and questionably sagacious counsel, imparted to Dolores and prefixed with this blog’s title:

“Sometimes, Dolores, an accident can be an unhappy woman’s best friend.”
“Sometimes, you have to be a high-riding bitch to survive.”
“Sometimes, being a bitch is all a woman has to hold onto.”

In any case, don’t read too into it. I’m not partial to the movie, only the lines. In fact, I have been volleying it around for years, with the grateful aid of particularly hilarious friends. Thank you!

I am a student in the ITP (Interactive Telecommunications Program) at New York University. I have started this blog to document my time there, since the program involves much design, creation, prototyping, i.e. things friends, family, and the general curious would like to view or witness in some degree. Thus- Sometimes, Dolores’s raison d’être.

Please excuse the blog’s shortcomings initially as I steadfastly try and create entries and padding to make the blog more and more intriguing to peruse. As usual, any advice or comments is appreciated.
